Enjoy Life At Every Moment

A fisherman was once sitting near seashore, under the shadow of a tree resting. Suddenly a rich businessman passing by approached him and enquired as to why he was sitting under a tree and not working. To this the poor fisherman replied that he had caught enough fishes for the day. 

Hearing this the rich businessman got angry and said: Why don’t you catch more fishes instead of sitting in shadow wasting your time? 

What would I do by catching more fishes? The fisherman asked,

You could catch more fishes, sell them and earn more money,Then buy a bigger boat, Which will give you an opportunity to go fishing in deep waters and catch more fishes and earn even more money,The businessman responded.

What would I do then? The fisherman asked.

You could buy many boats and employ many people to work for you and earn you more money,The businessman replied.

What would I do then? The fisherman asked,

You could become a rich businessman like me and then enjoy your life peacefully. The businessman answered.

The fisherman smiled and said "What do you think I’m doing right now?"

The business man was silent and confused without an answer.

In the world we live today,our peace and happiness are predicted upon certain achievements ,We don't enjoy the little we have and live in the moment,We don't see the real freedom and peace we have around us, because we shaped our minds to believe that we don't have enough,This is why we are living an unhappy life.

The fisherman knew that he could catch more fishes and make more sales, But catching more fishes and making more sales is not as important as his peace and happiness in the moment,

Let us try to enjoy life and live in the moment with the little we have, Excessive desire for more than what is needed is the real reason we don't appreciate our lives the way we are.
